What Psychedelic Options are Available Virtually?

Overall legality
In the U.S., ketamine is the only legal psychedelic substance that can be delivered virtually. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the United States has issued a temporary exemption allowing for telemedicine appointments to prescribe controlled substances including ketamine. This exemption is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to make it easier for patients to access necessary medication without having to visit a physical clinic. However, there are concerns about the potential for increased misuse and addiction, as well as the need for adequate safeguards to prevent abuse. The exemption is set to expire in Fall 2023, and the DEA is currently reviewing responses for a proposed rule for limited length prescriptions which would greatly impact virtual psychedelic prescriptions.
You can read more about this new proposed rule here.
Other psychedelics
If other psychedelic compounds are legal in your region, one possible format is to take the psychedelic on your own while being guided by a facilitator remotely. You can then pursue integration via coaching, psychotherapy, or group support. All of these methods can be done virtually.
